Summer Girls Basketball Camps

The goals of all the camps are to help each athlete improve their basketball skills by providing solid fundamentals. Each camp will be staffed by the high school coaching staff, as well as current and alumni players. The coaching staff will work to instill self-confidence in all athletes and will provide a constructive experience for all campers.  

• Offensive and Defensive Fundamentals, Competitions, and Games
• Smaller basketballs and lower baskets will be used for Session #1 (for 1st and 2nd graders, when needed).
• Each camper will receive a camp t-shirt.  
• No confirmations will be sent out, please plan on attending at the scheduled time.  
• These Summer Girls Basketball Camps are organized by DeForest Area Youth Girls Basketball Association (DAGYBA), instruction is provided by high school coaches and college players. These programs are available for district residents in 1st-8th grade and enrolled DASD students 9th-12th grade.
• Grades entering in the 2026-2027 school year.

Session #1 > Grades: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th   -- 9:00am-10:30am Cost: $60/child

Dates: June 15th - June 16th - June 17th - June 18th, 2026

Session #2 > Grades: 5th, 6th, 7th, & 8th -- 10:30am-12:00pm Cost: $60/child

Dates: June 15th - June 16th - June 17th - June 18th, 2026

Description: The FUTURE STARS CAMP will introduce all aspects of the game of basketball, during the 4-day camp. Focus on introducing team offensive & defensive concepts to players within our DeForest Basketball program.

Grades: 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, & 8th -- 9:00am-10:00am Cost: $40/child

Location: Deforest Area High Schol Auxiliary Gym (except June 12th which will be held at Harvest Intermediate School)

June Dates: 12th, 19th, 26th; July Dates: 10th, 17th, 24th

Description: There will be a portion of each day spent on instruction & the remaining time will be game play (1-on-1, 2-on-2, and 3-on-3). Teams will be assigned weekly to give kids multiple opportunities to meet others and foster their love for the game while learning!  

Grades: 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th -- 7:30am-8:30am Cost: $40/child

Location: Deforest Area High School Auxiliary Gym

June Dates: 15th, 18th, 22nd, 25th; July Dates: 9th, 13th, 16th, 20th, 23rd, 27th, 30th

Description: The ADVANCED SCORING LEAGUE offers intensive instruction in offensive skill development (shooting technique, post play, ball handling, and attacking the rim), strength & conditioning, and game play. There will be a portion of each day spent on instruction & the remaining time will be game play (1-on-1, 2-on-2, and 3-on-3). Players will be divided by age and skill levels.
