DAGYBA
The DeForest Area Girls Youth Basketball Association (DAGYBA) was established in 2007 in efforts to promote the importance and value of sportsmanship, hard work, and dedication; all while having fun learning the game of basketball. DAGYBA is a non-profit organization that sponsors the 3rd grade through 8th grade girls’ basketball program in the DeForest Area School District. New players are always welcome!
Ages
DAGYBA is open to all girls going into 3rd-8th grade in the Deforest Area School District.
When
Our season will run from evaluations in late September through the end of league tournament which is usually mid to late-February.
Where
Practices are held throughout our district facilities; including Windsor Elementary School, Harvest Intermediate School & the DeForest Middle School.
Practices
Each team will practice on average twice per week. The times and locations of said practices will vary from week to week depending on gym availability.
Games
We participate in the Badger Development League (BDL). Teams will play five weekend dates worth of games from about mid-November to mid-February, in various locations throughout our surrounding communities. There will also be an end of the season tournament date in mid to late-February.
3rd Grade play consists of two games played on each of the six weekend dates (on either Saturday or Sunday).
4th-8th Grade play consists of three games played on each of the six weekend dates (on either Saturday or Sunday).
Jerseys
Jerseys are purchased separate from registration fees. You can use your game jersey from year to year.
Fundraiser
DAGYBA does one fundraiser per season. We ask each player to sell a minimum of 10 butterbraids. Our butterbraid sales provide the funds for coaches to enter their teams into extra tournaments throughout the season.
Cost
Registration fees are $175 for the season. This fee includes a basketball, practice jersey, and backpack for all new DAGYBA girls.

Welcome to the 2025-2026 Deforest Area Girls Youth Basketball Registration.
This registration session will allow you to complete contact information, sign up for participation, and submit payment.
Please read through each page and associated forms carefully to ensure that all information is provided accurately.
The season will run from approximately October 1, 2025, to March 1, 2026.
Registration is open from July 18, 2025, until 11:59 pm on September 14, 2025, which includes a one-time registration fee of $175/participant.
These registration fees include a shooting shirt, practice jersey, basketball (if not received in a previous season), and a backpack (if not received last season). Please note that these registration fees do NOT include the cost of a uniform. The uniform order information will be sent out at a later date.
