DAGYBA (2nd Grade)
The Deforest Area Girls Youth Basketball Association (DAGYBA) was established in 2007 in efforts to promote the importance and value of sportsmanship, hard work, and dedication; all while having fun learning the game of basketball. DAGYBA is a non-profit organization that sponsors the girls’ youth basketball program in the Deforest Area School District.
This 2nd grade program will emphasize skill development with game play. Skill stations will focus on dribbling, passing, shooting form, defense, lay-ups, and foundational skills. Game play will be advantage style (2 on 3, 3 on 4, etc.) which is designed to increase ball touches, ensure offensive players have open passing options, develop spatial awareness, and maintain engagement for all participants.

This DAGYBA registration is only open to girls going into 2nd grade in the Deforest Area School District.
